This is a short video showing a rig being used to mimic a rollaway door. Its using a series of ordered deformers to accomplish this. One deformer pushes a locator up, another pushes it away slightly (using a falloff so it happens around where the bend will work) then a bend will curl it. Finally using an ItemInfluence we can tell the actual geometry to move with the deformed locator, but not to scale the item affects... so only translation/rotation.
