This is a basic example of an artificial horizon type 'Heads Up Display' (HUD). The model is simple, as is the rigging: Just a channel link to reverse the z orientation of the parent. Drop this on a camera, then use the locator to animate the camera. Eventually some combination of scripts and a better understanding of assembly tricks will improve this workflow. I hope to see many improved versions here soon.
